Mid Century Modern Wall Light with Twin Frosted Globes
Two slim gold rods set on opposite sides of a round back plate, each carrying a frosted glass globe — one high, one low. The offset is the whole idea: instead of a symmetrical pair, the fitting draws a diagonal across the wall. It is the mid century modern wall light language of brass and opal spheres, arranged asymmetrically.
Frosted glass, no glare
Both globes are frosted rather than clear, so the bulb inside never shows as a hot spot. The light leaves the sphere evenly in every direction, which is why twin globes light a wall softly instead of casting two hard circles. As glass wall lights go, frosted is the choice for rooms you sit in.
Tall, narrow, and made for a bedside
At 44 cm high and only 20 cm wide, it occupies vertical space rather than horizontal — useful beside a bed, in an alcove, in a narrow hallway, or flanking a mirror. The lower globe sits at about reading height when the fitting is mounted above a nightstand, and the upper one lifts light towards the ceiling.

Why are the two globes offset rather than aligned?
The diagonal gives the fitting movement and makes 44 cm of wall feel intentional. Mounted in pairs either side of a bed, install them as mirror images so the diagonals lean towards each other.
Do the globes give even light?
Yes. Frosted glass diffuses the source across the whole sphere, so you get a soft ball of light rather than a visible filament.
Does it need an electrician?
Yes. It wires into your mains supply rather than plugging into a socket, so a qualified electrician should install it.

Which bulb do I need for my bedside lamp?
Most of our bedside lamps use a standard E27 (large screw) or E14 (small screw) fitting — you'll find the exact base type in the Specifications table above. All fittings are standard in the UK, so bulbs are easy to find in any supermarket or online. For a bedside lamp we recommend a warm white bulb (2700K) between 25W and 60W equivalent: it gives the soft, cosy glow a bedroom needs, rather than the cold light of a work lamp.
Can I use an LED bulb with this lamp?
Yes. All our lamps work with LED bulbs, and we actually recommend them: an LED uses up to 90% less energy than a traditional bulb, stays cool to the touch and lasts 15,000+ hours. Choose a warm white LED (2700K) for a relaxing bedside light, and a dimmable LED if you plan to use a dimmer.
How long does delivery take in the UK?
Your order is prepared and dispatched within 24 to 48 hours. Delivery across the UK then typically takes 7 to 12 working days, and every parcel is sent with tracking — you'll receive your tracking number by email as soon as your lamp ships, and you can follow it at any time on our Track Your Order page.
What if the lamp doesn't suit my bedroom?
No problem. You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind and return your lamp for a refund. Check the dimensions in the Specifications table before ordering to make sure it fits your nightstand — and if you're unsure whether a style will work in your room, our team is happy to advise before you buy.
Are your lamps safe and UK compatible?
Yes. Every lamp we sell is CE certified and designed to work with standard UK plugs, sockets and bulbs. Fabric and wood models use heat-safe fittings, and we recommend LED bulbs for the coolest, safest operation — especially for children's night lights.
