Bedroom Wall Light with Reading Light and Backlight Bar
A slim 43 cm bar that washes the wall behind it, plus a separate pencil spotlight below on its own switch. One gives you atmosphere, the other gives you a beam tight enough to read by. Among bedroom wall lights with a reading light, the appeal is the independence: two circuits, two switches, one back plate.
A 15° beam that stays on the page
The spotlight uses an optical anti-glare structure — a recessed lens that keeps the source out of sight and narrows the output to about 15°. The light lands on a book or a laptop and stops there, rather than spilling across the bed or bouncing off a screen. It is the difference between a reading light and a small floodlight.
Both heads turn, the spot folds away
The bar rotates through 330°, so it can stand vertical, lie horizontal or sit at an angle. The spotlight rotates 330° and folds 90° flat to the wall when you are not using it. Mounted above a desk it works as a task light; above a nightstand it replaces a lamp entirely.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use the reading light on its own?
Yes. The two switches are independent, so you can run the 3 W spot alone at night without lighting the wall behind — the point of the design if someone is asleep beside you.
Do I need a wall switch?
No. Both switches are on the fitting, so it can be wired to a permanent live supply. The mains connection should still be made by a qualified electrician.
Is 5 W enough for the room?
The bar is a wall wash, not a main light. Use it for evening atmosphere and the 3 W spot for tasks, with a ceiling light or lamp doing the general lighting.

Which bulb do I need for my bedside lamp?
Most of our bedside lamps use a standard E27 (large screw) or E14 (small screw) fitting — you'll find the exact base type in the Specifications table above. All fittings are standard in the UK, so bulbs are easy to find in any supermarket or online. For a bedside lamp we recommend a warm white bulb (2700K) between 25W and 60W equivalent: it gives the soft, cosy glow a bedroom needs, rather than the cold light of a work lamp.
Can I use an LED bulb with this lamp?
Yes. All our lamps work with LED bulbs, and we actually recommend them: an LED uses up to 90% less energy than a traditional bulb, stays cool to the touch and lasts 15,000+ hours. Choose a warm white LED (2700K) for a relaxing bedside light, and a dimmable LED if you plan to use a dimmer.
How long does delivery take in the UK?
Your order is prepared and dispatched within 24 to 48 hours. Delivery across the UK then typically takes 7 to 12 working days, and every parcel is sent with tracking — you'll receive your tracking number by email as soon as your lamp ships, and you can follow it at any time on our Track Your Order page.
What if the lamp doesn't suit my bedroom?
No problem. You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind and return your lamp for a refund. Check the dimensions in the Specifications table before ordering to make sure it fits your nightstand — and if you're unsure whether a style will work in your room, our team is happy to advise before you buy.
Are your lamps safe and UK compatible?
Yes. Every lamp we sell is CE certified and designed to work with standard UK plugs, sockets and bulbs. Fabric and wood models use heat-safe fittings, and we recommend LED bulbs for the coolest, safest operation — especially for children's night lights.
